“Introducing the Canadian Coalition for Children of Incarcerated Parents”
The seeds of CCCIP were sown in January 2019 with a national “Dialogue on Children of Incarcerated Parents” that took place at Friends House in Toronto. Individuals and organizations came together to share knowledge, learn and make connections from all across Canada.After the meeting, the Canadian Coalition for Children of Incarcerated Parents emerged as the essential next step.CCCIP advocates for children’s rights and seeks to create standard safeguards that ensure the best interests of the child are a primary consideration in all decisions and at every stage of the justice system in Canada. The members of CCCIP are honoured to speak about our newly formed Coalition and to share the launch of our new website!
